The Rancho Bernardo Independence Day Celebration has been staged annually since 1970. The organization responsible for the celebration is the Spirit of the Fourth, Inc., a 501 (c) (3) organization. Donations are tax deductible.
Freedom Club Membership
If you are interested in joining our Freedom Club, your donation of $125 or more will secure your membership. Membership includes:
- VIP parking and seating for both the parade and the evening entertainment
- Freedom Club Concert on July 3rd with USMC Band
- An invitation to the VIP reception at 1:00 PM on July 4th
- Recognition in the official program (if donation received before June 1st)

If you are interested in purchasing tickets for this fundraising event, please click the “DONATE” button. Enter the amount to coincide with the number of $35 tickets you would like to purchase. You will receive a follow-up email to confirm your ticket order and to select ticket receipt either at will call that evening or by mail beforehand.
The budget for the day-long celebration is more than $70,000 annually. This year, we are proud to welcome our partners in the business community which are helping to make this event possible. Ashford University has graciously accepted the title sponsorship and we are grateful for their support. The Bernardo Winery and Casa de las Campanas are co-sponsoring our Community Fair. The remainder of our funding comes from personal donations from the community of Rancho Bernardo, and generous donations by County Supervisor Pam Slater-Price, the Rancho Bernardo Community Foundation, the RB Recreation Council, the RB Rotary Club, the RB Rotary Club Foundation, and other service organizations.
