The Rancho Bernardo Independence Day Celebration has been staged annually since 1970. The organization responsible for the celebration is the Spirit of the Fourth, Inc., a 501 (c) (3) organization. Donations are tax deductible.
The budget for the celebration is more than $60,000 annually. About 25 percent of our revenue comes from a generous donation by County Supervisor Pam Slater-Price and the remainder comes from donations by the Rancho Bernardo Community Foundation, the RB Recreation Council, the RB Rotary Club, the RB Rotary Club Foundation, and other service organizations.
